The Rosevine

How lucky are we, we get to travel near and far to shoot amazing weddings with amazing people! What better place to head to for Will and Sam’s wedding than Cornwall. Sun, sand and sea! Well not quite, we could see the sea, yes, and there was certainly a beach at the bottom of the cliff, so that leaves sun, where the hell was the sun! All week it had barely be seen and it was chucking it down. That did not dappen our mood though, we love Cornwall rain or shine and Will and Sam feel the same. We embraced it. We loved it.

The morning was full of good vibes, laughter and underlying nerves. Will was practising his speech in between games of chess and dog walks, while Sam was with her family and closest friends hanging out and having her hair and make up done. It was very relaxed and we just slotted straight in. We knew these guys from a previous wedding in France and had gotten to know them quite well so it was just like hanging with good friends.

The ceremony was gorgeous, Will and Sam had written their own vowels and the ceremony was led by Sam’s dad. It was very emotional and intimate. We were so glad we were filming it too.

After the ceremony the rain stopped so we all legged it outside, chucked some confetti over them and then headed to the lawn for a group photo, we quickly aborted mission as the skies opened and we legged it back inside to continue the drinks reception. We managed to get a little break a bit later and for a short period has glorious blue skies, what are the chances, so we took the opportunity for some portraits.

Dinner and speeches was next and we were thrilled to have a lush 3 course meal with the rest of the party, the team at the Rosevine even set us up a little candle lit table for two so we had a child free quiet dinner, what a treat! Thanks guys!

Post dinner, the rain had properly buggered off so we headed down to the beach with everyone. We got some amazing photos as the sun was setting under a moody sky and most importantly Sam and Will created some amazing memories with their friends and family at The Rosevine, Cornwall.

They partied the evening away and after dark everyone headed out for surprise fireworks.

What an absolute gem of a wedding this was! Torrential rain, muddy paws, sea, sand, a little bit of sun, fireworks and most importantly wonderful people!

We loved Will and Sam’s wedding at The Rosevine.
